I'm not sure which is more embarrassing- the idiot who didn't just get out of his car or the fire boys who thought they were rescuing a man stranded at sea.

Good point - thing is, I know from experience that fast flowing water that's knee deep can knock you off if your balance isnt just right but for goodness sake...worst case scenario she'd have slipped and had to crawl two foot forward. It's not like she was going to be swept away.
You are not fighting “depth.” You are fighting mass + velocity. Water Is Heavy — Much Heavier Than People Realize. Water weighs about 62.4 pounds per cubic foot. When water is moving: • Even 6 inches of fast-moving water can knock an adult off balance • 12 inches can carry away a small car • 18–24 inches can lift, roll, or drag most vehicles — and people YAY 🥳 #Science
Indeed. I jumped off my boat one day, as the tide was going out. I'll be fine, I thought. I know the ground. It's fifteen feet to the shore. It's only knee deep. I only put one foot wrong and I was thrown off balance. I fell and my bag fell from my shoulder and began to float away with the tide, leading to me scrabbling after it. I learned my lesson.
Felt friend. Truth is ima miracle of modern science and shouldn’t be alive. My body has been put through a LOT. Whatever lessons I learned … who knows 😂
