Yes but without transparency we can't verify, why not have both? Or bitcoin and coinjoin/mixing there are solutions to privacy but money and privacy are two different things and I think the priority is hard money first.

CoinJoin is absolutely disastrous for fungibility. Either everyone uses it, or it’s crap because it creates good and bad coins. My conclusion after all these years is that there’s no interest in privacy in Bitcoin’s development.

If it isn't fungible I wouldn't regard it as money 💁‍♂️
