Would you recognize Jesus if he was back on earth and physically among us? He would probably choose some form that was very humble, so humble that a large portion of his followers would flat out deny it was Him.
For a long time, I grumbled at God, saying "if you really wanted to have relationships with us, why'd you leave earth 2000 years ago? Why not spend time with me every day, in person? You're omnipotent, so why not?"
But what if He did just that? What if He came back and has been among us the whole time, and we've just been too noisy and selfish and undisciplined to notice or hear or even try to listen? What if the form He chose was more humble than we were willing to consider?
All around the world this week, many Christians are celebrating Corpus Christi. Do you love Him enough to set aside your preconceived notions for an hour or two and consider what this might mean if it were true?
