A lot of recent sentiment from really smart people has been: the first big Nostr app will look totally different from what's out there now. I think Bitchat is that app.

bitchat 1.2.0 (purple) shipping to testflight tonight. this enables mutual favorites to automatically switch to a nostr-based transport when one of them leaves the mesh. only for private messages for now using NIP-17. basically people can bitchat in person, favorite each other at that time, and then can continue the conversation if internet is available through nostr, from any distance. no need to input a npub or know anything about nostr. it just works. https://github.com/permissionlesstech/bitchat/pull/358 image

Do you think there will be a network effect, with Bitchat as an on ramp to the rest of the Nostr ecosystem? It would be helpful if the Nostr connection settings links to a simple intro. Don’t be afraid to be opinionated. Guiding users toward Nostr apps with the simplest onboarding experiences would increase success rates.

bro, no it won't people that are smart. Don't trust Bluetooth, and your location needs to be on all the time. Thats going backwards not forward.
