Yes, if the ground is not frozen they can still go in.
I planted some today.
14 day forecast still looks good for temps, just need this snow to melt. Then I can plant and hopefully finish up my leaf cleanup as well. I usually cover up the garlic with leaves to help with insulation
I miss out last year, got way too busy in the fall. Not this year 🤙🏼🧄

Perfect. You just need a window where the ground is clear and workable then totally cover well for winter.
Pretty sure they can be planted all winter and it's just a matter of how much of a head start they get for next spring.
