Do you know where we can find the software for the standalone dojo?
I run mine through start9. Its on a community market place. It's in beta but working well
I just have the umbrel version. It would be nice to run a solo dojo node

Is there a way to change the dojo address? Where is the setting if so?
I love both, Ashigaru and Samourai. Sentinel is great as well, but claiming an old phone is as secure and airgapped as SeedSigner is just plain bullshit.
Just because you tapped the wireless button on an android phone doesn't necessarily mean there will be no connection. There are background services running which could mitm stuff.
What do you mean, in ashigaru/sentinel?
Flash the ROM, I use #GrapheneOS, remove sim cards, disable Bluetooth etc... I think you'll find it isn't bullshit but you do you, mate

Been using Graphene as my daily driver, great for those who know how. But your post didn't mention that, a naive reader might just use his old android with 300+ preinstalled trackers.
Also, even Graphene has emergency connectivity which can't be fully turned off, not sure I'd want to trust that when it comes to private keys.
The thing is you would only turn this device on when you need to sign the tx. The tx you can create on sentinel. So highly unlikely to be tracked. You can keep it in a Faraday bag, you can live in a Faraday cage!!! There will always be doubts. What if the chip you use on your foundation device has been compromised? Maybe your Jade isn't as honest as you thought? Even building your own doesn't guarantee complete security.
I have often said we over complicate storing and sending Bitcoin. Common sense and good practice is a start, to build on. If you believe all Pixel phones are waiting for Goolag to press a button and steal your data, then that's what you believe. If you think the ROM you flashed isn't what it seems, write your own and overcome those problems. Or, use a paper wallet and look after it
Of course you can do all of that and then have a makeshift "probably secure" signer for not very critical stuff. But the sheer amount of components in a smartphone will always be a blind spot imo.
Building your own dedicated signer from general purpose hardware used with peer reviewed, and proven open-source software will always be a superior approach, just less convenient.
You are not suggesting anything bad but you are condemning an approach that is cheap and as secure as most, if not all as long as the user is sensible. Which is where all systems fail, eventually
anyone know if dojo works with knots ? I run knots on my
@Start9 as it is needed to run DATUM. I downloaded dojo, but when I run it never finishes the health checks and my server runs super hot. Is it typical for the first run of dojo to be resource intensive and take a while to complete healthchecks ?
hmm based on the logs in the service, appears to not work with knots.

ya, the logs say it is rejecting the connection due to knots node. Hmm, so I can't run DATUM without having knots as my bitcoin node, can't run dojo unless i go back to core on my machine.

Dojo requires Bitcoin Core because it uses OP RETURN for paynyms (and probably coinjoins). Knots does not permit this type of metadata
