Ocean is turning off all alternative templates on the 21st. Only their filters and you will be automatically redirected if you were using an alternate template.
The announcement says run DATUM if you don't like it but last I checked DATUM requires running knots so that isn't really an alternative.
I think it is time for me to move on before they switch on that stupid BIP that allows chain rollbacks.
Pitch me your mining pool that respects freedom.

So now knots and ocean are becoming the centralized shit show?
When I was a bit into mining I was happy with https://pool.lincoin.com

Thanks to risen electricity costs it's not worth it anymore (it never really was, but now more than ever)
Datum can be run with core, unless you are using a start9 stack ( unsure about umbrel). And Start9 confirmed with me it will work with core after their next OS update.
furthermore, I don't understand how switching pools puts you in a better position. Are you looking for a pool that provides alternative block templates ? I know of none that exist.
Classic bait and switch
Bingo.
I'm looking for a pool that isn't going to run BIP 444 which is a hard fork no matter what they lied to you.
I consider taking away the core template a clear warning. Their payout method traps your sats too. Total shitshow.
Did they have a timeline for the s9 OS update?
Who could’ve seen this coming lol glad I never touched my node
sounds like you are best off with braiins
no. it does seem to be worked on relentlessly based on the github activity though
I'm using the heat.
