King Charles the First was defeated in battle by own his rebellious subjects, put on trial for lying, oath-breaking, and illegal taxation, found guilty, and publicly beheaded. The present Head of State in Britain (and Australia) is also a King Charles (the Third). Some traditions should be honoured :p
