If I would be happy with all my choices and actions, I wouldn't need to submit to God. But I'm not happy. So I decide to make the loving Power my boss. The Spirit of the universe will not be my errands boy. I want to be His, because He knows best.

So I admit I'm not able to run my life in a satisfying and sustainable manner—my self-will leads me to misery. I acknowledge that there might be Someone outside of me, that can restore me to sanity. The next logical move is to decide to invite this Power to my life.
