Yes!! Morality is made up!! We enforce it on each other. I know it is uncomfortable, and you need there to be more, but I promise you, thinking I don't recognise how fragile that is for humanty is not lost on me. That somehow if you point out it is all circular or something I am suddenly going to say “shit, you’re right, that is fragile and circular, that must mean it comes from God” then you are mistaken. I accept it despite it’s fragility. We are human dude. to me, nothing more, nothing less. We can treat each other as we would like to be treated, how we would want our kids to be treated, and place obligation on others to follow those obligations, but I do not accept something higher tells me those behaviours.

Can’t believe you are still going back and forth with this guy Some of these people do not live in reality and I wonder what they are like in the real world. Are they just losers that live in their mom’s basement?
You just described a gentleman’s agreement and called it morality. I respect the honesty. Most people won’t go that far. But follow it to the end. What happens when enough people stop agreeing? Not hypothetically. Historically. We’ve seen it. And when it collapsed nobody got to appeal to the agreement because the agreement was the thing that collapsed. You’ve accepted the fragility. I’m just asking you to sit with what that fragility actually means when it fails. Because it has failed. Repeatedly. And something has to explain why we called it failure
