The “average” American has not gotten wealthier; their money has simply lost purchasing power. Stocks and real estate did not get more valuable; the U.S. dollar got less valuable. Also, remember that “average” (mean) paints a different picture than “average” (median).

Average american doesn't exist. They lie about it just as they do it about CPI. Lying how good is in country is a part of state propaganda.
