Has being around bitcoiners enough zapped the socialist out of him yet? 🤣
Any courageous Bitcoiner will name both Bitcoin and Monero for its unique properties and let people figure out what they want (often or ideally both).

Just finished his book on audio 👏🏻 with his background, he’s got a Bitcoiner mindset already.

Amazing.. Props to him. I heard him across a few interviews a few months apart and based on the progress around understanding bitcoin it was just a matter of time.

One of the first podcasts I ever listened to was with him. Somewhere in the 2010-2011 timeframe. Around the same time I was schooled on money supply and inflation. I didn’t want to believe any of it. But I knew deep down that it was true. And when I discovered Bitcoin it solidified my belief.
And at the same time - the leading edge of a second enlightenment era that changes that path forever - depending on where we place our own energy - we empower either path. I personally choose truth, hope and abundance versus coercion, fear, and scarcity.

John’s book was transformative for me in understanding how the world works to exploit and trap developing countries. So glad you’re speaking and he’s interested in #bitcoin We need more defectors of the fiat system!

Would love to re-read his book with additional insights about how he sees the transition out of that system into a bitcoin standard. Especially with all of his practical tips at the end of the book about actions we can take as individuals to create change.

Fingers crossed for a bitcoin revised version some time in the future 🤞
I specifically refer to Core V30 release and the possibility that I, as a node runner, will be legal prosecute for storing CSAM. So no more descentralization. I know this is not your first battle, but here we are talking of a serious state infiltration.
When I was living in SEA, I mentioned John to another expat, an employee of a development bank. He grew cold and we never got another dinner invite.

Keep doing the work fam 🧡
Ironically, for the nations where that group’s actions resulted in vastly over-spec’d power generation (esp hydro), that energy abundance may actually help those countries escape them imf trap. In a perfect world John would help bring bitcoin miners to those places

I didn’t realise at the time but reading that book primed me for understanding bitcoin. Once you understand the corruption the solution becomes easier to spot.
