I don't think they gave "given you back control". I think they have just given themselves access to curate their vision of a more appropriate one. It's cool to have a natural timeline for sure, but I am skeptical that what they say and what they did are the same thing. On the surface it is a good thing.

The irony is, we on NOSTR do 😂 We can even vibe code an app to give us an algorithm if we want to.
