strike now has a white-glove service for HNWIs, family offices, businesses and large institutions strike is now one of the most licensed bitcoin companies in the world with top leading infrastructure we own and operate ourselves. not sure how known that is. as the bear market has gone on, we’ve gotten more and more demand for these services. i’ve run this business line myself mostly, it’s a lot of fun. professional orange piller and sat slinger. no better job than that https://jimmymow.medium.com/announcing-strike-private-e019a7eb43f2

What are you doing on the front of lightning kyc. I was all good to go with my debit card then you started asking for a ton of kyc. Including facial recognition if I'm not mistaken. I'm a privacy advocate and I don't approve this move.
we just launched our own KYC program now that we have our own licenses KYC is obviously not ideal but given the rules we have to follow I think people are really gonna appreciate it. i’ll be blogging about it soon, coincides with more global announcements
Hope nothing but the best for you and Strike, including the (eventual) launch of the Strike card. Using a Spritz card is not ideal, especially on a Degoogled phone.
KYC no bueno. God bless Robosats Ironically enough it’s all Strike for US trade on there lol one day we shall have better methods of stacking uncucked sats but in the meantime we do what we can
#strike was my worst onboarding experience in a decade of crypto... complete waste of time and black-boxed KGB-style non-explanations for denial... peak #fiat customer service experience... fix it, poser. #grift
We have some A+ seasoned sat slingers that would love to try out when you eventually expand the team 🤙🏼
Absolutely Yo! Do what needs to be done for Strike to succeed. The more people onboarded faster the better. Moots have a hard time following this. Without the customers who want KYC, yes plebs you read that correctly, bitcoin will struggle to gain widespread adoption.
All bitcoin tools worth considering are decentralised, open-source, non-KYC. At least the most useful ones and the ones which will last a very long time.
I would guess it comes down to trying to build a company with all the regulatory hurdles instead of building a FOSS project.
And don't get me wrong, both are probably needed to get where we want to go collectively. But only one of those routes will go very very far in the grand scheme of things.

When is direct deposit coming back? That was my favorite Strike feature.
yo, that’s me. im trying. currently, if i did, everything i’ve built would be shut down and i’d be locked up for most of my life, unfortunately there are small wins. like those that are looking for a easy bridge from fiat to bitcoin globally, Strike can fight the good fight and offer the best option for bitcoiners possible. for example, you’re correct, our global wallet doesn’t really have KYC to get started (only KYC when you wanna link with fiat) i dream of a day Strike is big enough to work on all sorts of things with all sorts of optionality. we’ll get there. for now, if you don’t want KYC, i’d just not use Strike or any other regulated products. beauty of an open network
I recently switched back to coinbase because the transfer network fees are not indicative of the actual on chain network fees. Also the spread is now 0.9%.
🥺😩😭 Would you like for me to call the wahhhmbulance? 😢 This is a well licensed, trustworthy custodial Lightning wallet that in the next 5 years will allow you to swipe your card in line at McDonalds to immediately pay for your cheeseburger in 2 seconds time using Sats. This is also the wallet Pedro will now use to send money across the world to his family in Venezuela in 2 seconds time. Instead of having to pay Western Union a portion of the money to send to his family which will take 3-5 days. This isn’t your cold storage vault where most of your wealth resides. It’s just a BTC Lightning wallet for quick n easy payments…KYC isn’t the end of the world…

And lol yeah. But he will figure the rest out with time.
Jack, you’ve built on and proliferated lightning. I’ve followed your progress as you’ve built Strike. What can be done to rebel with the knowledge that KYC doesn’t work? It only seeks to provide a central repository of pii, that if compromised, damages people’s lives, yet the company goes on. Banks knowingly launder money every day. KYC/AML uses legalese to create a monopoly on the movement of value throughout the world. What options do you have to build the product you WANT to build “global no kyc” vs the one you have permission to build?

Would I be able to peg my fiat amount and sweep excess into Bitcoin, like many banks do to money market or repo? Granted, that means I would sell Bitcoin when I pay bills or buy things, but on the other hand I would have more in Bitcoin more consistently.

Sweep instead of dca. So if I say I want $2k balance in my fiat account each day, the system can calc what the difference is at the same time each night and execute a Bitcoin transaction to produce that amount. So if I peg my fiat balance at $2k and pay bills from my fiat and have a balance of $1k, overnight the system calcs I need to sell $1k of Bitcoin to go back to my peg. Alternatively if I get paid, excess would buy Bitcoin to go back to my fiat balance of $2k.
I still haven't REALLY looked into Strike, even though I watch you announce stuff about Strike a lot. I guess that's because you just aren't "in Europe" yet. Any update on that happening? Or has it happened whilst I wasn't really paying attention? And do you have different plans for Switzerland than the rest of Europe? We have non-kyc laws here that are different than the rest of Europe... At any rate, the amount of energy and work and inspiration you do and provide is off the charts. Thanks Jack for all the work you do in the Bitcoin space...
much love, i appreciate the kind words. they really mean lot we are finally coming to europe. i’m sure people won’t believe it til they see it, which i more than understand. i should have more to share soon-ish very exciting
this guys some kind of a whore for strike... listen wigger, nobody here eats mcdonalds except for you because the rest of us arent sloppy pigs who can't cook for themselves... but its not surprising considering your taste in fashion... also, who the fuck is Pedro and who the fuck cares... Bitcoin doesnt give a fuck about you and the masses dog food diet being attainable... and its the same for your virtue-signal about remittances... just shut the fuck up.
