This was all drawn from some of my favorite theologians over the centuries. Mostly reformers and puritans but also some gems like RC. ALOT of Calvin. I went through many many books and found what worked from their books as well as scripture. I have the list of all of them, just need to find it. You may share with whoever you’d like. I’m up to chapter 5 now.

Ahh, thought it sounded familiar. This was all a really good (and much needed) set of reminders for me. Your gathering of notes reminds me of what some call a Zibaldone or a commonplace book. The main difference is that a Zibaldone (Italian for something like a mixed salad or hodgepodge) is more of a free collection of favorite quotes and notes from wherever you found them, while a commonplace book tends to be more organized and focused by topic. I learned about the distinction from a guy named "Parkers Notes" on YouTube. I'm slowly advancing through the Institutes at the moment...figured a few pages a day should get me through it in about 4-5 months. Already shared it with a few friends. They may be surprised since they’re not Nostr users… yet. Thanks again, and I'll make sure to read more of what you've written!
