Testing a Dell XPS laptop that has a 16x10 aspect ratio screen (1920 x 1200). Other than that feature, I do not like the laptop. Metal exterior feels uncomfortable, at least compared to a ThinkPad. It only has USB C ports, no USB A. Otherwise seems fine. I'll install Linux on it and see how it performs. The owner gave up on it after it kept turning off on him. I think it may possibly work fine with Linux. At least it did with a live boot. #Dell #linux #laptop

good luck. I bought my xps15 because of the extra bright screen option. Linux comparability is only so/so. #QuebeOS did not energy safe at all, Ubuntu did okay but would not properly wake up unless on Wayland:/

Thanks. Not sure what I'll do with the laptop yet. Probably will test more to make sure it doesn't have the power issues in Linux that it did in Windows. If it works well, I may use it as a loaner laptop, an extra laptop for myself or a family member, or sell with Linux installed on it.
