One of the things that astonished me most in recent days was what one of the Israeli prisoners freed from Gaza said. He recounted that they had taken part in massive demonstrations against Hamas, carried on people’s shoulders and chanting along, while Israeli aircraft flew overhead without recognizing them. Meanwhile, Tel Aviv was overwhelmed with joy, believing that the people of Gaza had begun to rise up against Hamas. It was this brilliant plan devised by the Shadow Unit of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades to transfer the captives from northern Gaza to the south. What remarkable cunning!
