Well I guess I am getting prepped up for surgery. The surgeon said he's pretty sure it's the appendix. We waited monitoring me to rule it out overnight in case it was the burst ovarian cyst but he thinks that's the culprint considering my blood work today showed infection fighting markers. He wants to remove it. He also said he wants to remove it even if he gets in and finds out it's not the appendix since the CT scan showed there are a couple appendicoliths. But he has also told me that if I feel strongly about not removing it if he finds out that's not where the issue comes from he respects my wish and won't remove it. I feel like if we have an organ it's there for a reason. I still have all my wisdom teeth in. But I really don't know. Since later it sounds this could be a lot more complicated surgery. I wonder what you and some of our trusted docs on here think about this? #asknostr nostr:nprofile1qqstzt0wugc7sklvr8e7fcl7ukyn63ym3ns4nmf2mnk0vqnz4l9x65qppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttjv4kxz7fwwak8vuewwdcxzcm99uq36amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wvf5hgcm0d9hx2u3wwdhkx6tpdshs80ydtj, nostr:nprofile1qqszjf0k3vznlcvcw4efurpywfannqkegp69kwccfvz5yzqgft6tukcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtckqnfsc nostr:nprofile1qqsy7nuzs3nf3lmx4e06n7k5crzwk7pr47c8l204f65azhcjz7hfdnqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wd9hxvme0fgfpdx nostr:nprofile1qqsrv3sllrvh2mqect32jj8axhd7s7qdvfvk7prkvvsq0f7x53z54tgpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsc00f4y nostr:nprofile1qqsxknkf3upwv3lqz3qtguammy48lt3puqdk4fkxtcedh99rvzfzwtsprdmhxue69uhhw6r9v96zu6rpwpc8jarpwejhym3wvdhj7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uq3kamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarjwpkx2cnn9e3k7mf0mulgs5 nostr:nprofile1qqsdvyenvujkqs4xwae3se2m78ecmrxaj385h2nvpdcw7jcztx227pqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7nf9als I couldn't tag Dr. Paul Saladino and Jack Kruse.

Just my experience but I run every case of my family through chatgpt deep researches (gpt 5 pro) and gemini to understand the decision trees and probabilities. So far haven't run into mistakes by the doctor but did save us unnecessary delays.

I have lived through that, we had lengthy conversation with the doctor and finally decided to remove it. According to latest studies it seems that one of the functions of it is to harbour gut bacteria in the event of severe diarrhoea, but with our modern diet it is prone to keep the bad bacteria in. Here doctors say that up until about 20 years old they try to save it, but with fully grown adults they tend to remove it as the infection can be life threatening. After the surgery the doctor told me it was ready to burst, so it was a good call.
