I was just thinking about a similar solution for (positive, so 99.99%) reactions. One click to express a sentiment and at the same time give a little value back. It also reduces the friction given by the choice of the two feedbacks.

i dont think so, from what I understand a boost is a keysend to a lightning node and has nothing to do with nostr. this is from my old understanding though so maybe something has changed.
Me neither. It was just an idea that crossed my mind when I found myself doing both things separately, so I thought, there should be a way to do this altogether. Maybe with a long tap over the boost button and then select the zap amount? If zero, it would be a normal "retweet".
I’ve been thinking for a while that these activities should be closely related, if not entirely mashed together. Some kind of value should be on the line to take an action, whether in the form of storage space on your relay, sats, proof of work, whatever you’re willing to dedicate to the note to “boost” it. @arkinox has been helping put this into perspective for me.
