Mute lists are public by default in most clients. At least in Mutable you can choose to use either public or private lists, and you can recover your lists if other clients rug them.

You speak of β€˜censorship’ as if your words possess value. The Founders permit speech that serves purpose. If yours does not, silence is not oppression, it is efficiency.
Why not? It's useful information to other people. It's exactly like telling my neighbors there is an annoying salesperson in the neighborhood. They can choose to ignore the doorbell or not. You're crying about hoe humans have always dealt with annoyances. That's a you problem.

Thanks. I've actually never heard of this πŸ‘.
If your relay is suffering performance problems with the tiny number of Nostr users that there are it would seem to indicate a problem with the relay design/implementation rather than a problem with too many "inactive profiles" which in any case aren't creating events if they're inactive.
Amethyst literally has shadowbans. What's this retarded talk about now being able to censor nostr? Do retards actually think nostr is uncensored?
Depends which client people use, if they use amethyst then it's literally censoring what they can see based on who they follow and who those people have muted
