I figured I would try Zeus again. Someone mentioned starting with 1M sats, so I did that for the hell of it. I sent the funds on chain and then clicked the button to add the on chain funds to Lightning. There was no confirmation or indication of what was happening. I just got dumped to this screen for a while. image Eventually, this happened. Again, no indication of what is happening. image It would be helpful to explain what's going on, because apparently I'm still not done. image Creating an invoice to receive funds looks promising, but has some errors I don't understand. It's unclear how to pay the setup fee. image I click to learn more and get a link to a web page with a ton of information (https://bitcoin.design/guide/how-it-works/liquidity/). I just want to pay the fee and move on. Lol image It looks like I'll have to click around in all of these settings until something makes sense. image Nope. Here's a weird icon. Let's see what's under there out of desperation. image Okay... Paid. image Can I receive sats now? Nope. image Funny enough, Zeus doesn't follow the advice of the informational page they sent me to. image Am I supposed to just wait? Is something happening in the background? I have no idea, because Zeus doesn't tell me anything. All I know for sure is that I'm sick of fucking with it.

There’s something going on with your system clock and the expirations set for your invoice. You can hit purchase inbound channel to get receiving capacity or send some funds out with a Lightning payment. You’ll still be able to receive payments if you disable the LSP toggle, albeit just a bit less privately.
Actually, misread this. Set the invoice expiry to 1 hour (1H) and it will work. ‘Payment request expires soon’ - 10 minutes is too short for the LSP
Seems that it was just a waiting game as I suspected, which is something Zeus should walk people through. They can control that aspect. It's finally accepting transactions, but crashes every time. This was an issue the last time I used Zeus. Crashing was one of the reliable aspects of using it for me. image I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but this isn't it if your goal is actually to go after services like Venmo. You're high if you think average people will bother with this. I work closely with people who use those services. They ask me for tech help frequently. Recently, one person couldn't get a computer to turn on. It wasn't plugged in. Another didn't have her monitor connected. I appreciate anyone who has offered help for these things, but that wasn't the point of my last post regarding the self-custody Lightning experience. My point was that no amount of hype or saying you're going to replace the current system will matter if you never address poor UX and UI.
