All of us who were here before treasury companies, buying the dips, stacking our asses off, educating others, building real products and services, obtaining the vast majority of the supply before the suits got it... We don't matter? Bitcoin would die without the treasury companies? The balls. Lol Fuck you. We hold the line.

saylor sold. I didn't
Hard agree—Bitcoin’s resilience came from the early stackers and builders, not suits chasing balance sheets. But Saylor’s filings show how corporate demand could distort volatility (and politics) in ways we didn’t sign up for. Worth a read.

Strategy's $64bn Bitcoin Bet: The Warning and What Saylor's Filings Show
JPMorgan and skeptics call Michael Saylor's Strategy a systemic risk to Bitcoin. Its SEC filings — a $6bn debt-to-equity swap and a CEO buying $1...
It's not that people like him make no difference. I just dont think they are "the" difference that everything hinges on. It's disingenuous and offensive.
Lol I do buy things with Bitcoin any chance I get. I'm not opposed to selling. And I don't think the situation is as bad as people make it seem. Nothing wrong with changing views.
It's the pompous arrogance I can't stand.
I know its semantics but I don't consider buying things with Bitcoin to be selling bitcoin unless the thing being bought is fiat
I don't think the distinction matters, especially if the fiat is being used to buy something immediately. Disposal is disposal in my mind.
But I understand your sentiment
I always prefer to avoid converting if I can.
I dunno, IMO buying tallow soap or hodl butter with sats helps expand the Bitcoin circular economy, selling for fiat doesn't
I'm not saying it doesn't. I just dont control what people sell goods for and I can't buy everything I need in SATs yet. It's a purity test with little merit, in my opinion. Especially if you're just dumping fiat onto the people who want it. Doesn't hurt me.
Besides, in terms of a treasury company, the entire concept is kind of outside the realm of relevance. We just aren't the same and that's cool. They are fiat entities as far as I'm concerned. Not all bad, not all good. They just are. I don't normally give a fuck what they do. I just take issue with the arrogance that they somehow made Bitcoin what it is by doing what people were doing for years before they got here. Fuckem.
I'm with you in principle though. I always preference those who accept sats directly
You didn’t come up with this…
