Hi — we're already running a node with you (Dublin). We're looking at the managed strfry relay (€1.50/mo) for our marketplace, and two things decide it for us:
1. Custom domain — can we point our own hostname (relay.barattolo.store) at the managed relay, e.g. via CNAME, with TLS handled on your side? Or is it only reachable on an LNVPS subdomain?
2. NIP-11 — can we set the relay information document ourselves (name, description, pubkey, icon, posting_policy), or is it fixed/branded by LNVPS?
Two smaller ones, if easy: can we supply a write policy (pubkey whitelist — we'd want read-open, write-restricted), and is there a storage or bandwidth cap?
Thanks!
Hi again — following up on the managed strfry relay.
We're a marketplace, and the template as it ships doesn't fit: there's no write policy, so the relay would be open to anyone. We need read-open but write-restricted (a pubkey whitelist we'd supply), otherwise the 5Gi volume fills with content that isn't ours.
Two questions:
1. Is there any way to supply a write policy plugin or a pubkey whitelist on the managed relay? Even at a higher tier.
2. If not — could we just run our own strfry on a regular LNVPS VPS? We already have a node with you in Dublin, so a small second machine would be the simplest path. What would you recommend for a low-traffic relay?
Thanks!
Regarding your VPS, do you forward potentially bogus abuse letters to a client? If you suspend/terminate VPS due to the client not responding to it timely, do you allow withdrawing the remaining balance?
Got any yabs? I'm interested in outgoing speed.
Thanks.
