lol. what nonsense. the only commonality between the two bands is they both have funk bassists. the vocals are a whole different style. since after angel dust, fnm went all lounge pop and they kicked out the metal guitarist roddy bottum or i forget what his name was exactly. that left only bass and keyboard and drums and vocalist. who knows why the fuck mike patton would have said shit like that. mike patton only joined fnm in like 1991 or something and before that they had this african dude chuck mosely who was way better than mike IMO anyway (album introduce yourself), and i remember RHCP appeared in an old 80s skateboard movie called Thrashin which you also should see. that dates to the mid 80s iirc. skateboards maybe power peralta spoon nose tony hawk featured (i owned one of those :)
