Mind-bending may be a stretch, but "Resolution" & "The Endless" are a shared-universe pair of films with the same unique supernatural antagonist in the background. It gets the audience thinking & leaves them with questions in a IMO very satisfying way

Bentov died “mysteriously” just 2 years after writing his book “Stalking the Wild Pendulum: On the Mechanics of Consciousness”.
