I don't like massive influx of illegal immigrants but when I see feds disarming a man who was exercising his 1st and 2nd amendment and then shooting him 9 times I don't like the direction we are heading. That is tyranny.
If it was Biden Fed's doing that to Kyle Rittenhouse, there would have been a few thousand men open carring automatic rifles at the next set of protests.
The government accrues power along partisan lines but when the line switches they don't rescind those powers. Trump is exercising the power to execute US citizens for protesting. When the President changes that precedent will stand.
Obama didn't roll back any of Bush's overreaches despite his crows against it while senator.
If an extremist Dem takes over next, they will start issuing executive orders and ignoring courts, fulfilling every liberals wet dreams. They will send armed agents in to gun down protestors.
The enemy is always the state. The US Republic was formed in part as an idea on how to limit the States power.
The State has fought long and hard against our founding documents and little by little has been eroding the principles that once guided our nation.
There are more effective ways to tackle illegals. They could raid every major hotel and farm.
They could halt all remittances or put exorbitant taxes on them. This would cause massive pain to the immigrant community.
The US government has emmense power at it's disposal. They decided to use that power for spectacle and to own the libs.

It's not protesting when your stated goals are obstructing federal enfrocement of crime that the local PD has been ignoring.
There are definitely protestors who crossed the threshold of obstruction and they can and have been dealt with without exercising deadly force.
This specific example, at the moment of the incident, the man in question was not an immediate threat to the agents.
One cannot gun down a man on the basis that some other people were obstructing your law enforcement duties.

I’ve carried a gun my entire life with the knowledge that if I go and seek out a physical altercation with police while armed I’m going to get shot.

The agent in question was not justified in his use of deadly force. They had disarmed him and had him face down. Up until the point where they offloaded 9 bullets in him, the agents were doing a good job of handling him.

This is a exactly my position. The executive branch of government has taken more and more power since the 1971. The Anti-Federalists were right. The Bill of Rights doesn't mean much after 55 years of presidental power grabs.
It's not just one person that was executed. The second amendment was supposed to prevent a standing army by establishing a well regulated militia.
There is a standing army in the streets fighting US Citizens addressing their grievances.
Are the protesters unsophisticated, naive, and dumb? Yes, but that does not justify death without due process.

Alright that makes a little more sense. To me it looked like the agent heard “gun” and saw him going for his holster when he shot but that’s at least a coherent argument. I think the fact this guy was injured with a broken rib from a confrontation earlier that week shows he was doing anything he could to instigate a reaction. Bringing a gun and fighting cops is not a good way to get my sympathy haha.

One thing that stuck with me was a CCW instructor that explained that carrying a weapon means that you are never going to be escalating any altercation. Ever.

A federal agent assaulting a protestor is not performing their duties. That is the standard for interference. The video is pretty clear that he was subdued and his gun was not in his possession when he was shot. They then rendered no aid, and prevented the police from investigating the scene. Then potus and his retard squad lied about it.

I guess I hold the actions of the agents who have out numbered and subdued a person to a higher standard. If you have to shoot a guy you have disarmed already to feel safe you probably should get a new job.
He committed a felony. Resisted arrest. The gun went off.
He made choices and were killed for those choices.
He's not magically absolved of his decisions because you want to bend reality so you can have sympathy for him.
Those agents have the same right to defend themselves as you do.

I hope we see this adjudicated in court, so that we can settle the issue from a legal standpoint but it is quite likely no charges will be brought.

Small aside, ICE are actually the more reasonable of the two agencies tackling immigration. In most cases it has been the CBP agents, under the direction of Gregory Bovino, who have been acting out of control.
Trump has reacted to this situation and ordered Bovino to stand down in Minnesota, allowing Tom Homan to take over the operation.
Homan is no softie when it comes to immigration enforcement but unlike Bovino and Steven Miller, he would rather focus on criminal illegals. He is also more cognizant of how to balance public opinion vs the actions of the Government.
Yeah I was just reading about this. Seems like a step in the right direction. In my opinion enforcement should be strictly focused on criminals immigrants. All other immigrants here illegally can be removed administratively via their workplaces. If removing illegals immigrants is the goal punishing employers would be the most effective move.
