I've been in to photography for about 9 years now and while I have taken a few shots which I'm genuinely quite happy with, I see other people's work and just think 'wow.'. Like, what would I have to do to be that good? I enjoy seeing techniques and trying to replicate them. Editing is just as meditative for me, I think.

Yeah, photography is all about experience and not competition (or it should be I guess).

In my humble opinion, it all comes down to time and practice. Like, you can’t just come up with award winning stuff with shutter count in the thousands, while most of the other legends have millions of images under their belt. They simply have magnitudes more experience.
