Cheers! At the moment, the 100mb limit was put in place for a couple of reasons. The first is that Blossom uploads do not scale well at a higher file size due to how it generates the hash for each upload. The second is due to the majority of blossom hosts setting 100mb as the maximum upload size. This was done (including on my own hosting service NostrMedia.com) in order to maintain optimal performance. A larger upload size would likely be fraught with timeout issues. However, in the app settings, there is an option to add custom Blossom servers, which would allow you to self-host using your own Blossom server and it would still attempt to upload the video across other blossom servers, if possible. Are your music videos very large? Have you tried compressing them a bit to see if you can get them to under 100mb?

I would say the average is around 600mb to 1.5gb and yes certainly there would be some ways I could compress whilst maintaining high quality, but wanted to ask before I headed down that road.

Definitely need the YT of Nostr right now and I’m sure there will be ways in the future to mitigate both issues ie smaller HQ and better scalable file size hosting. 🫡
