Why do you think that is? One of the OG talking points back in the silk road days was "criminals are always the first to use new technology" and they're using stablecoins over bitcoin. Why?

I honestly don't know, this surprises me, I also wonder how reliable the data is, maybe bitcoin does a better job of obfuscating
liquidity and lack of enforcement maybe?
if you can unload it easily and have reasonable cause to believe it won't be frozen, good censorship resistance isn't necessary.
