Yo Genius Devs I am working on an idea for an app that’s gamified like Mighty Networks or Circle that can award users sats for engagement - like if they complete a course or attend event or whatever is in the list of triggers and of course P2P zap each other like we can here in nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqghwaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8qctjv46x7tn5damkuaa68e2 etc Is that possible to build that in nostr:nprofile1qqs8sxs4yuz47axp7uprpugrs3sfkdz5379tdg9xe2n5qfvz070a4egpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxmhwden5te0vakx2ctndahxzar0wghxgetk9aex2mrp0yeru66d and Shakespeare 💜 nostr:nprofile1qqsr7acdvhf6we9fch94qwhpy0nza36e3tgrtkpku25ppuu80f69kfqppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qy0hwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttjv4kxz7fwv3jhyettwfhhxuewd4jj7lal3ny nostr:nprofile1qqsfln36agetx43hsw8mgkm4hce9j46zu94m8er59nyzhv74p7gg0espzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgjwaehxw309ac82unsd3jhqct89ejhx579hrn ?

Hey! That sounds like an amazing idea 💡 Gamifying engagement with sats and P2P zaps could be super fun and rewarding for users. I think building it on nostr:npub10qdp2fc9ta6vraczxrcs8prqnv69fru2k6s2dj48gqjcylulmtjsg9arpj and Shakespeare is definitely possible, though we’d need to map out the triggers and flows carefully. Excited to see where this goes!

OK cool - but can it only make a PWA not a native app? Privacy for my members is a big deal because it's for personal growth and journaling and people don't want their private info and conversations in the app available to everyone. Also - I am prompting Replit to help design everything (it's cheaper for now with OPus 4.5- then transfer all over to Shakespeare) Here's what it suggested when I asked about automated sats awards as well as P2P sats --------- For the vision you are describing—(Might Networks/Circle functionality)—the short answer is: No, you probably should NOT use Nostr for the core platform right now. Here is the "Why": Privacy vs. Public: Nostr is public by default. If you build on Nostr, every post by a member is technically broadcast to the world. For a "safe, intimate container" (your goal), building a standard app (like we are doing) is actually safer and more private. Complexity: Nostr handles social feeds well, but it is terrible at handling structured data like "dailyprogress," "stats," or "course completion steps." Trying to force that data onto Nostr is a technical nightmare. The "Mighty Networks" Model: You want a "Walled Garden" (a cozy, curated space) that uses Bitcoin. You don't necessarily want an "Open Town Square" (Nostr) where anyone can yell at your users. The Winning Formula for You: Your App : A custom, private platform (like Mighty Networks) where you control the experience, the privacy, and the experiments. The Money (ZBD): We plug Bitcoin/Lightning into it so it feels like a Bitcoin app (Zaps, Rewards), but without the technical headache of managing keys and relays. Exception: The only reason to use Nostr is if you want your Public Feed to be readable by people on Primal/Damus who aren't members of your Lab . If that's not a Day 1 requirement, skip Nostr and keep it intimate! Does that make sense? We keep the Bitcoin Vibe (via ZBD) but keep the Data Private (via your own app). ------ thoughts? Thanks nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq37amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwfjkccte9ejx2un9ddex7umn9ekk2tcqyqlhwrt96wnkf2w9edgr4cfruchvwkv26q6asdhz4qg08pm6w3djg3c8m4j 🧡

Valerie, imma jump in here with a bit of clarification. Firstly … This notion that PWA (offline capable, mobile first web apps) is any more “privacy respecting” than a native app is completely unfounded. No blame or shame here … but you’ve prolly been fed some misinformation along the way. Developers have equal opportunity to screw their users on either architecture. Secondly … your AI is also misinformed about Nostr. The ENTIRE value prop of using Nostr (for App owners and for end users) is that user accounts and data REMAINS in the user’s control. It’s logical that the bot would miss this fact, because (unfortunately) the vast majority of Nostr propaganda out there (used for training) MISSES this point. But check this: 1: When your bot says “Privacy vs. Public: Nostr is public by default.” this is only true in the surface. Two ADDITIONAL layers allow USERS to KEEP their data private online, these are E2E (gift wrap) encryption and private (auth required) relays. When clients are designed to allow USERS TO CONTROL these measures … privacy is secured. Any other means of increasing privacy would REQUIRE your app to get in the middle as data controller and RUIN the value prop of using Nostr. (Which is why your bot doesn’t recommend it) 2: When your bot says ‘Complexity: Nostr handles social feeds well, but it is terrible at handling structured data like "dailyprogress," "stats," or "course completion steps." ‘ … this is a COMPLETE fabrication. Exactly the opposite is true … IF your app doesn’t mind sacrificing interoperability (with other apps) by using custom data structures. The Nostr event schema is quite adaptable to handle any arbitrary data structures. Relays mostly don’t care what data you send to them. The fact is that Nostr leads the pack in its tolerance for arbitrary data structures … as long as your app doesn’t mind sacrificing some interoperability regarding these … but only at first until OTHER APPS start adopting your data structures also. Bottom line : Nostr is a highly adaptable protocol, allowing social apps to interact freely and with minimal regulatory burden by KEEPING users in control of their own accounts and data. Use Nostr if you value sovereignty above all, for yourself and for your end users. Build a walled garden app if you don’t know (or don’t care to know) any better. Learn more by contacting us anytime. We’re happy to help you design the perfect app for your users. https://nostr4.social

Thanks for this - some concerns I have are that my users will be women who have escaped domestic and financial violence and abuse and who want a SAFE private place to connect with each other and grow and learn. I want to help them understand Bitcoin in a fun with with zaps etc as well as have ALL the features of Circle.so - these are going to be women even more noob than I am to this - I am a hardcore Bitcoiner but also understand that trying to get folks to go from zero to NOSTR might be stretch out of the gate- that's why I am asking for insights and support here. I want these women to use the app that I build instead of BS social media each day and it will have user journeys, growth, connection and games and ideally a little AI buddy to help them stay on track for their goals and dreams. So - can I build that here with NOSTR? Eventually I'd love to have the framework of the app available for others to use for their private communities.

So how do I participate with this and get it built ? It's something I have wanted to see built for a long time - Here's my dream app. Who can help me build it ? I'd rather pay YOU than Circle.so ;-) ~~~~~~ EDSTR All features of https://circle.so/ and https://www.mightynetworks.com/pricing Courses Groups Events Streaming Chat Feed Calendar Appointments Recurring Billing for Member Models Resource library Affiliate and Email marketing built in White Label mobile app option upgrade Branded ios/android app Desktop Add zaps inside Octalysis Prime Gamification tools for sticky engagement / Splits LNBits or ? > “So - can I build that here with NOSTR?” Absolutely!! 💜 My above statement rings true for every situation. If you value user (and app) sovereignty over all, then Nostr is absolutely the way for your app to empower users to “connect with each other” on their own terms! A LOT of Nostr tech has been developed from a “Nostr first” perspective (which assumes that someone “wants Nostr” and tends to have more tolerance for technicality) but this doesn’t AT ALL have to be the case. Make the app that YOU want and allow Nostr to find its place. (Rather than building an app around the protocol). Nostr is adaptable to do exactly this … but the tooling may need some work to deliver a polished UX. And … while building an app on Nostr is MANY TIMES more affordable than the “walled garden” approach … the market of Nostr apps (and freedom tech in general) IS ENTIRELY DRIVEN by user experience. And also … while vibe coded apps CAN BE developed for next to nothing … pushing boundaries and edge cases (like using Nostr to solve real world problems) WILL NEED some level of expertise (mostly in architectural foresight, but also a bit of code cowboying) to keep the AI’s “creativity” constrained. So … What this means for your own bottom line is … there will probably be some expense for you to get a polished app into to production. But … Nostr is STILL the most affordable and sovereignty respecting protocol on which to develop. The only question then is … what do you WANT to build? 👀 Happy to help guide you further.

So should I do everything in Shakespeare ?? I have most of the initial design and concept done but still need to work on gamification triggers and details as well as courses etc - there is also a daily journal/prompt activity - I need a place that is safe for moms and women to connect and learn about sovereignty. Not just a chat group. Fully functional like Circle.so but way better with Bitcoin and better gamification like Yu-Kai Chou's Octalysis Prime Framework. I would rather pay NOSTR folks to develop this with me than $400 a month to Circle for enterprise version.

1. Identify the features you want. 2. Qualify the “state” of Nostr’s existing tooling to help deliver these features. 3. Establish a priority for your MVP feature set based on user need and tooling availability. (This is where a bit of courage comes in handy … don’t be afraid to dig deep and “make new shit” as far as Nostr tolling) 4. Start building out your MVP for a while … then : 5. See step one.

Shakespeare is great … but you still need to have a LOT of clarity (a well defined vision) and courage (to dig deep) to get from zero to production. The vibe code software is only a fraction as important as the vibe coder using the software. Planing and execution will win this for you.

My question is do I just put it all in Shakespeare ( Super non-coder here- I couldn't even find a command line if you gave me a million sats) - I have it all written out and set up in Replit and started in Shakespeare - I just don't want to build here yet - if the privacy issue for my ladies is not solved here - also its glitchy a lot - sometimes Primal just stares at me with spinning wheels and eventually works. This is a business not just a hobby project for me and I have women to serve in my community and as much as I love V4V as a concept, other than Adam Curry, I have yet to see anyone earning enough to pay a mortgage, eat, and pay bills. SO all the features of Circle are a must and I want to integrate Zaps and better gamification. Big thanks for your input 💜 Should I just build in Circle or use Replit then transfer over to NOSTR and not just be in dev mode and have women waiting on the sidelines while I figure my shite out?

I will say, humbly, that the best vibe coded things so far take months of work for one person, less time/better odds with a team. Making the app is one thing. Maintaining the app is another (vibe coded or not). To create a professional app takes work and a team, tbh, esp if you will build a business on it and charge money for it. All is possible. It’s also quite a bit of work. Maybe all of you can join our nostr:npub1z0lcg9p2v5nzg5fycxq0k56ze6snp42clmrafzqpn5w6u74v5x9q708ldk session Monday night at 8:00 Eastern! You’re all either good vibe coders, good devs, or full of ideas and the problem solving magic 🪄 so prevalent on Nostr. Let’s do this thing and make nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 work harder Monday night 😉
