I cancelled my recurring payment to them. Using my sats, that were supposed to go towards developing cool bitcoin stuff, on shitcoin integration definitely feels like a betrayal.

this is my concern too. pointing to an external swap is ok if really necessary, but if core functionality is at all integrated with shitcoinery, it's inherently poisoned. I know alby has a history of taking a hard stance against shitcoins so I'm not concerned, at least until I see a reason to be

I stopped using Coinbase years ago because they supported Shitcoins, but I use Gemini for bitcoin back on credit card purchases. I know many Bitcoin Maxis that do this. I guess we determined that this use case out weighed the downsides to supporting them.

After I saw the email newsletter announcing this crap, I don't even update it, just remove it. Also removed the Alby browser extension and Alby Go.
I will not use an app that support shitcoineries.

The only swap that should exist in Alby Hub is swap between onchain and LN channels. That's all.
