Now we “need” cannons, missiles, and drones to defend ourselves from the pesky Russians—translation: to stuff the already-inflated pockets of London, NY, and Tel Aviv bankers, the death merchants, and their warmongering politicians. Suddenly, the planet doesn’t matter to anyone. Not a bit. Greta got put back in the closet the moment she became ProPal. And the idealistic lunatics—Fridays4Future, Ultima Generazione, Extinction Rebellion—vanished from TV the same day the NGO taps got turned off and the money got rerouted. No more useless COPs. No more “green directives” from eurocrats. ESG is out of style. Green certifications too. Even the energy giants have stopped trying to greenwash. The script was rewritten. The whole play got recast. And everyone—starting with the big European mouthpiece and ending with the smallest provincial pen-pusher—falls in line like obedient remote-controlled automatons, while the farce is so blatant, so explicit, so nauseating that only a mostly lobotomized public could still swallow it and live with it.
