I shared this video with my therapist and requested that she watch it, so she can use that info while I work with her during my three year taper coming off of an ssri. She watches it, and understands, and I'm so grateful I am building a team to support me through this. If you are wanting more info on the effects of these drugs, how to safely come off of them, check out outro.com They are building an amazing library of resources, and I'm incredibly grateful for them! #ssriwithdrawal #hyperbolictapering https://youtu.be/jSEEAfbuCv8

My moods are fine. It's coming off these meds that cause withdrawal. It's hell. These drugs alter brain chemistry and you need to come off of them super slowly. Lifestyle changes are good, and I've drastically changed my diet and lifestyle. But because of what these drugs have done to the receptors in the brain, I have to taper off very, very slowly.

Sadly, I can't just replace them. Coming off these drugs too quickly can be life threatening. Last time I went through withdrawal was terrifying. I don't think I'd be alive today if it weren't for my husband. But as I come off of them...my goal is all about natural ways to heal my body, getting the nutrients I need, and finding a holistic way to care for myself and my mental well-being. ❤️
