What third party (preferably FOSS) YouTube client runs properly on Android TV?
NewPipe teeeechnically runs but the UX is unusable on Android TV.
SkyTube simply doesn't launch.
LibreTube launches but doesn't let me select an instance.
Do any others have even basic Android TV optimisation? So it's usable and I can watch YouTube without two unskippable ads every five minutes and without paying Google money to give them my data. Plz.
1k sat bounty.

Yeah man this should be standard, as you say similar to zapraisers, it encourages V4V by having a free market of plebs offering bounties for providing help to others :)
I think you just stumbled upon a great feature.
I must try next time I have a question.
V4V should be initiated not expected.
See I have my best ideas after a wake n bake ๐
Agree ๐ฏ V4V should be initiated not a default.
Luckily this feature lends itself to being optional, as a user would presumably tap an option to enable the bounty feature manually when posting a note.
Found the answer to this myself: Clipious!

newpipe is usable but not great
Yeah it's the best of the bunch so far in that it technically works. Love it on Android phones but it's a nightmare on Android TV.
SmarTube is the way
