FOSS generally has an anti-team bias, with financing focused on dev kingmaking. Kings then have to take a pay cut to form a team or hire help, but most just pocket the money. (Understandable, as they are more employees than companies, so reinvesting income isn't something they usually think about.)

I guess there might also be a distinction between a team and a movement. Latecomers to a movement might start putting the people who started the movement on a pedestal. Maybe it's just human nature...
