I am a firm believer in the old adage "it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and prove it." That being said, Saylor needs to open a dang history book. Even the ones offering a whitewashed version of history would tell him that the people DID NOT willingly give their gold to the government. They gave their cans and nylon pantyhose willingly, not their gold. Not their value. Not their worth. It was taken by a government mandate.

There is little record of any enforcement of that mandate, probably because it was not feasible. But that's not the point either. The point was that it made it illegal to hold, which is very relevant to where we are today, and Saylor is a representative of that tyrant class.
