blossom is not a good solution for media. in fact, it wasn't built to be used for that anyway.. it's supposed to be for uncensorable files, like an unredacted whistleblowing evidence or something. but now it is used for jpegs and videos, and we will never stream m3u8 or have variable bitrates, while servers uselessly waste their time computing useless SHA hashes. this is the dangers of soyface slopfluencers running loose with non profit funding. the bad solutions rise to the top, nostr suffers from mal-practice, our user funnel dumped on the floor like a child with a tantrum.

links and players that can smartly play or display in multiple formats.. smart servers with the ability to re-encode, with lots of ffmpeg magic and nginx. if larger audience, the choice of a CDN.
