Love this @jack mallers keynote. Not many people grok the profundity of the problem.

Parts of the keynote are based on Bitcoin is Time, which gathered a lot of attention back in the day.
Some parts are from follow-up pieces and threads, which relatively few people have read, I believe:

I tried to mention some of the above in my Riga talk, but I'm not sure I managed.
In any case, I might have more things to say at some point in the future, but for now I'm just glad that more and more people are rediscovering what money is, via the roundabout way that is #Bitcoin

Bitcoin Is the Rediscovery of Money | dergigi.com
We forgot what money is. Bitcoin makes us remember.
Final thought: I'm tempted to give more presentations like these, seeing what kind of impact this format can have. Maybe. One day.
Final final thought: My biggest contribution to bitcoin is probably the "time arrow" switch implemented by mempool space 😂

I have indeed clicked on it a few times. 🫡
you biggest contributions to bitcoin are your time, your patience and your honesty in explaining 💜

No, it's this meme 😂
Do people who write right to left feel the same? 🤔
This is Bitcoin
The real question is what about the top-to-bottom people
I've just noticed this, thanks, it was always the wrong way around for me.
that leaves me speechless once again 🤣

never noticed. achievement unlocked
🧡’d this keynote too. Has had me pondering whether time and energy can even exist independently of one another.
Bringing my friend who have no knowledge of Bitcoin to Bitcoin Atlantis and getting her to see this presentation, gave her an understanding of Bitcoin not even I could give her
It would go from the bottom to the top like a tree or a graph. Top-to-bottom is just plain crazy talk.
Which is the best client for video watching and with controls?

…so there is still the opportunity to suggest a traditional Chinese top to bottom switch?

I’ve switched it since it was possible and never looked back :)
Nailed it as usual
A noncemeister quote inspired by your writing 🙏:

I actually learned from this! The gbs quote about exchanging apples and exchanging an idea gives me 2 ideas, really cooked my noodle, like the lightbulb moment, that was cool!
And explaining the difficulty adjustment to keep time ⏲️ on track, was something I didn't really grasp, but that made it so simple to comprehend
Wouldn't it be fantastic, if you got zapped everytime someone in the world hit that button?
“No amount of money ever bought a second of time.”
I really appreciated his talk, had heard the term timechain before and thought it was more like the quote above.
Jack’s talk put it in my head that the digital/machine world never had a physical connection to time in the physical world.
10ish minute blocks created by butt-loads of energy enabled this to be possible.
I’ve been calling it timechain since this probably won’t go back
The science behind bitcoin maxis civilization 👌👌
Perhaps the most engaging, and interesting “what is bitcoin” presentation ever. Sending it to everyone that still lets me talk to them about bitcoin.
Amazing!
🙋♂️👀 it now the second time. 🙋♂️get it more and more each time 🙋♂️👀 .
This note is what pushed me to send a friend this video 😂
This video is what pushed a friend over the line to being thoroughly orange-pilled. Great presentation.
I'm pretty convinced they can't!

This is great Gigi. Never seen this before. They cant existing independently! 🧡⚡️
🕰️ ⛓️💥
Thank you gigi, I saw Jack's nod to your work in his presentation
Awesome presentation.
Only advice I would give for next time....use the boot seller instead of the apple seller to show how boots can't be money...it's more intuitive and easier to grasp.

Much of it based on your work too :)

This is freaking mind blowing 👾🙏 . now #asknostr
1. Bitcoin are locked in time and we know the total number. Is that correct? What percentage is left at this point unlocked?
2. Do you guys have some kind of hitparadade who is the richb*ch?
3. And finally I want to ask about the importance of work. You said that the connection to real atom world is trough the work. So how does work influences the price of bitcoin? #mystupidquestions
😂
💡Bitcoin is the gateway between the real world and the cyber world and vice versa 💡
That's a timeless question 👏🏼
