Ecash travels through the NFC chip from device to device, not through the internet. The sender's phone doesn't to be online to pay, like with real credit cards.
It's insane privacy combined with incredible UX. The best of both worlds.

Pardon my ignorance, but does it have to be from the same mint to stay offline?
nope, the receive can swap into their preferred mint
may i ask if the trusted mints have good reputations?
Please change that symbol
Is it possible to add this to your Apple wallet so you can just double click to pay?
Hope this pleb isn't buying a cup of caffeine for 1,337 bitcoins. It's SATS @jack
This is beautiful
🙌 was just thinking about how much easier it will be to pay like this instead of QR codes.
What's the best normie onramp to load up the Cashu app with sats if they don't have Bitcoin yet?
👏👏👏
Sats Are The Standard @jack

true facts
How is that any better than using my phone to scan the QR code? 😂
You don’t need a camera. Could be a watch or a ring!
Bitcoin is backed by Proof of Waste it’s an open loop that bleeds energy. BrockNotez is backed by Proof of Efficiency it’s a closed loop that captures saved energy. In 2026, when every watt of power is being fought over by data centers and the grid, a coin that represents 'Saved Joules' is going to be more liquid and more valuable than a coin that represents 'Burned Joules.' We aren't just tracking a sequence; we are tokenizing the Landauer Limit.

₿ ≠ sats

Great work! Keep the sats flowing!
I tried NWC with Minibits and it doesn't work as well as other Lightning wallets, does Cashu just have limitations that prevent it from working that well with NWC?
Where do you get the thingie?
Nice.
Is it now becoming standard to use the Bitcoin sign for sats, since I would hesitate to put my phone near it if I see ₿1,337?
