This 2.5min video is the most probable outcome for us & bitcoin in the next ~5 years. “Programable money” is a CBDC (Digital currency) regardless of what they “call” it. OP_RETURN is the first step for making BTC programable and its a terrible idea. 🧡👊🏻🍻 ⚡️⚡️Double zaps for reposts that reply here⚡️⚡️

Not concerned about Op_Return debate, quantum, etc.. 21 million hard cap, preserving self-custody, and continued growth of the Bitcoin circular economy is what matters to me. The CBDC’s are going to be the already captured “private” stablecoins imo.

Agreed. Bitcoin should remain focused on being the best money in the world
Time locks have been around since 2015 via BIP 65 using very basic transaction lvl timelocks. —If that’s what you mean by programable, I agree. Adding more levels of programability is what I’m referring to and concerned about. Unforeseen consequences crop up the more complex and programable the code gets. We already have an ETH…

Btc is programmable money from day 1.
Is this the same guy who: - wondered if Elon or anyone else in the Trump admin has read "Hijacking Bitcoin"; - criticized the mainstream media and called it “journalistic malpractice” for ***not*** mentioning “the Bitcoin revelations” in the Epstein files; - said that it’s problematic to talk about Bitcoin as a secure, decentralized and denationalized cryptocurrency, because it’s impossible to distinguish those who believe in it and are therefore invested from those who are invested in it and therefore believe; - accused Bitcoiners of derailing discussion of alternative cryptocurrencies (=shitcoins), and said that Bitcoin is taking up all the oxygen in the room? If yes, I don't pay too much attention to what that toilet brush look alike says.
Whatever this guy says about #Bitcoin, I do not pay attention to. Hard to say which one is more ignorant about Bitcoin, Bret or his brother Eric. You can see Bret's greatest hits below, but never forget that Eric thinks that Bitcoin is not a monetary revolution but instead a tech revolution. That one is hard to beat. image View quoted note →
Yeah, but what I mean is this: Bret's top skills are muddying the waters, deception, and all kind of shit. And he is good at it. Bret needs the attention to do all that. So, that is why I simply ignore that toilet brush.
That makes sense. Back in the day Andreas called Bitcoin programmable money so I've always looked at it as such. I think the CBDC's changed the narrative. The scary thing is I suspect most people in the world want the government to have the power to program money to protect them from baddies.
