Was just watching the creator of Damus being interviewed on simply bitcoin and he said something like the reason people seem friendlier or nicer or what ever on nostr compared to other social media platforms is because they have all realized that we are free Free from being censored or banned etc So we tend to really be ourselves without worrying about stupid shit It’s much more human More natural Anyways GM frens🧡

Absolutely. When humans are allowed to just be humans, we're not being made to fight one another for clicks, the vibe is just much better.

It’s definitely still better than X. But the political comments commonly range from libertarian to anarchist, mostly complaining about (their privileged life, opportunities and freedoms in prosperous) America but offering few solutions beyond “Bitcoin fixes this.”

I think it has more todo with the fact that the userbase on nostr is a fair bit smaller than on other social platforms and has a more homogeneous crowed. I mean we're pretty much all here because we don't enjoy the other platforms. I also don't think not risking a ban enables friendlier communication. There are a lot of stupid people and stupid people do stupid shit, to put it frank. Time will tell how well the platform handles misuse.
