Faster Internet speeds for Aussies connected to the NBN network are coming this Sunday. 50Mbps services will increase to 100Mbps, and for FTTP or HFC services, 100/20Mbps will increase to 500/50Mbps and 250/25Mbps will increase to 750/50Mbps. The new 2Gbps service will also be available, however in most cases this will require an updated NTD device from NBN.

stuck over on fttn. Basically trapped in the bleak adsl past
I know that NBN now offers upgrades to FTTP in some FTTN areas if you order one of the higher speed plans that needs FTTP. I’m not sure how widely available that is though or how long it takes for the installation.
Hrmm. I think i’ve looked before and not had any luck, but i’ll check again
Sep26 lmao
Upgraded to the 2gbps plan… just waiting on the new device to arrive 🥹
Nice! Are you on FTTP or HFC?
Unfortunately my 2Gbps plan will probably be downgraded back to 1Gbps soon.. I don’t think they will let me keep a free 2Gbps service for “testing” purposes.. In reality I haven’t noticed much difference for most normal home use between the 1Gbps and 2Gbps.
