Second law of infodynamics: the amount of leaked data can only increase.
Ergo, all data will eventually be leaked.
Steve Rambam (i think he was a private investigator sharing a bit on his craft) had an enlightening and entertaining talk, probably 20 years ago, full of examples at the HOPE conference called "Privacy is Dead, get over it"
I only watched it on YT but I remember his laws.
The first law was: "All data will eventually be used for some unintended purpose". Like Domino’s customer databases being used by law enforcement, supermarket loyalty data sold to HMOs.
There is a second law: nothing is ever thrown away / there is no forgetting.
