I really recommending reading this. In summary, a company which does ID verification for in-person interactions (hotels, car rentals, ID verification for alcohol or marijuana, etc) has some how exposed over 153,000,000 drivers licenses for people in the United States and Canada. It is a catastrophic data breach, probably one of the worse I've ever seen. If you're in the United States and have traveled, gotten a hotel, purchased marijuana or alcohol, there is a high probability you're in this. Unlike other breaches, this includes a photo of the person (from the license), making verification you've identified the person significantly easier. This poses a significant threat to celebrities (think YouTubers, adult entertainers & other polarizing influencers) 😬 🧡👊🏻🍻

Damn, that’s seriously terrifying. The fact that the actual ID photos are exposed makes this so much worse. Privacy is becoming harder and harder to protect these days. Thanks for sharing this 🧡👊🏻

Find out if you're affected. As of now, there doesn't seem to be a searchable database to see if you are on it. If you are, you need to be wary of hackers, scammers and the like.

If you didn't buy your home under a trust/llc/biz entity your address is likely already public information easily searchable on a tax collecting entities website. Your only hope is to have a common ass name.

Just do not sign up for services that demand ID. If enough people do it, it'll crash the system for the better.

That’s everyday reality in Brazil. All government held data has already been leaked publicly or is being syphoned commercially by corrupt officials. Also all credit score companies also already leaked their full dbs of citizens with their scores and banking info. Somehow nobody cares really.
