I'm all for options but I strongly disagree with you saying that you can't do anything on Linux. I've never run into a "I wonder if I can... nope, guess not" sort of situation with it 🤷♂️

Games with anti-cheat work on Linux unless the devs intentionally disable it. LibreOffice is better than MS Office. Something like 95% of games just work on Proton (with the remaining margin often being plausible with some tweaks). I've never had any major issues with Wine but I go for FOSS alternatives first anyway. I've had one Wayland breakage to date. The Rust migrations are dumb, I'll agree, but again: haven't had any major issues with it so far.
Either I (and many others) am getting extremely lucky OR the "nothing works" argument is a gargantuan exaggeration.
You can do anything, yet for simple things you often have to work way too hard.
Like what, though? Genuinely curious what gives you trouble on it.
