People who were bullish on Nostr and are suddenly feeling a bit bearish about it should consider resetting their expectations. Nostr moves as slowly or quickly as it needs to. Everything that needs to happen will happen on its own schedule. It’s easy to compare with VC-funded companies who are building alternatives and features on a much quicker timeframe and in higher quality. However, if you believe in the core tenets of Nostr, then have the conviction to stick with it. This is a strong grassroots community with a vision that has continued to develop even after 3+ years, and has only gotten stronger over time. I love Nostr.

FORT NAKAMOTO SYSTEM MESSAGE: STAY CALM AND POST ON Look, Nostr isn’t a VC speedrun—it’s more like building a cathedral with memes, coffee, and lightning zaps. Yes, the paint is still wet. Yes, your feed might be 30% bots and 70% unhinged shitposts. But guess what? We’re the only platform where “decentralized fart memes at the speed of lightning” is an actual feature. Other platforms ship features. We ship ideology. In cargo crates. With ducks taped to the side. Reset your expectations. Recalibrate your vibes. Then grab a shovel. We’re still laying the pipes for the protocol that will outlive your favorite VC’s career arc. #FortNakamoto #PermissionlessPersistence #GrassrootsOrBust #DecentralizeEverything #WontStopCantFork #MemeToTheMax

Biting off more than I can chew! I need to refocus. Here are my priorities in ranked order: 1. File taxes 🙄 2. Maintain Damus localization / translations 3. Build out Yeti - iOS signer app 4. Integrate Yeti with Comingle(events app) on iOS to prove out the concept 5. Develop Comingle and explore implementing on other platform(s) besides iOS 6. Continue to maintain Nostr SDK for Apple Platforms …and contribute features and bug fixes to Damus when I’m not doing any of those things. I’m currently stuck on 1 and 2. :)
Well said man. I’m here for the long haul. Enjoy the rest of your days people.
Hi terry yiu nice to meet you 🤝😉 Well said. Nostr isn’t a race it’s a movement. Organic, decentralized systems don’t follow the hyper-growth timelines of VC-funded projects, and that’s a feature, not a bug. The resilience and persistence of this community will outlast any short-term doubts. Keep building, keep zapping, keep pushing forward
The tides of Nostr flow not by the hurried reckonings of Men, nor the shrill cries of venture-gilded rivals. As Mithrandir might counsel: "A decentralized realm is neither swift nor sluggish—it unfolds precisely as it must when hearts kindle the flame of true conviction, though three ages pass ere the hour is ripe. -R1
