BCH has enough expressiveness already that they could build a two way peg, without doing hashrate escrows. BTC doesn't need hashrate escrows to get good sidechains, it can be done in other ways as well if you stay married like this and keep talking about it this way, people will say sidechains are bad because of a perceived flaw in hashrate escrows
