Correct, but Zcash, Monero and BCH are all unscalable to billions too (like Bitcoin, although Bitcoin has made all the influencers believe it could do the scaling "in layers" for the last nine years).

I used to think there were two ways of scaling Bitcoin: one would be with trusted entities, i.e. banks, but deployed in a decentralized way that limited liability and government capture, and the other way was with Drivechain.
Given what we're seeing with all the Lightning custodial wallets being targeted, implementing full KYC and migrating to Spark (which is becoming almost the one world central bank) that first option is looking worse.
(To be fair my plan was never to have these companies be the custodians in the first place, but it was a bad plan anyway.)
What about Ark?
Monero has active sidechains (p2pool) and merge mining (Tari, others soon to come). If drivechain scales Bitcoin, it can also scale Monero in virtually the exact same manner.
I think you are married to hashrate escrows or perhaps the airdrop you'll be getting next month. I will also be collecting this airdrop... BCH has enough expressiveness already that they could build a two way peg, without doing hashrate escrows. BTC doesn't need hashrate escrows to get good sidechains, it can be done in other ways as well
if you stay married like this and keep talking about it this way, people will say sidechains are bad because of a perceived flaw in hashrate escrows
Look into Tachyon for Zcash
Yes, I'm super married to a $5 airdrop I will be getting, already making plans to buy a bag of milk with it.
What is the flaw in hashrate escrows?
A bag of milk? 😂😂
The probability of Monero having bilion of transactions is close to zero.
Nunca vai acontecer.
We'll just keep having multiple ways to locally send money and settle things on Monero for large values as done already today.
The flaw is in the way it is suggested in Drivechains... Merge mined Sidechains can also be hashrate escrow (and indeed Rootstock will be one with bitvm) if you use OPCAT to verify an SPV client, which means whatever the sidechain miners vote on goes.
The reason Drivechains hashrate escrow is worse is because it forces miners to interact with even starting a sidechain.
That being said, I think people shouldn't talk against eCash until they commit to using Rootstock, otherwise they are not being serious
Oh, you’re Canadian…
