Some Africans live in literal mud huts. That's true.

Those are villages that they dont want to change. Its heritage. And they chose to live like that. Its not what you think. Africa is fully modernised. I dont know why is everyone tripping on mud huts. Not to mention when you say Africa its a whole continent. Believe me people in African huts live better lives than trailer park people in America.

The post was meant to be ironic, to clarify. The point I was making was not about Africans.

Well, it's still factually true. Some Africans live in mud huts. I'm sure that some of them, as you said, choose to do that to uphold their heritage. But again, the post is ironic. This is obviously not how I actually feel. I am talking from the perspective of a so-called "Elite" who is trying to justify and normalize the degredation of the Western world's current living conditions. Explaining this was not something I thought I'd have to do 😆

It is the sort of black and white comparison that manipulators like to use, though, is it not? Again, this is a shitpost.

To clarify my shitpost further, part of the joke is the oversimplification of Africa's living conditions. As you said, it's an entire continent and people live in all sorts of different ways over there. But a manipulator is quite happy to oversimplify things in an attempt to subdue you. "They live like shit, so should you."
