Never thought I’d be into Podcasting 2.0 as much as I’ve been recently (especially #DeMu) but here we are. Got up to speed with this episode featuring our very own @ChadF and 33 others 🤙

Same way we always have by parsing the RSS feeds that are in the Podcast Index. The payment info is in the RSS feeds. The pic I added is the "Value Block" for the episode of PC 2.0 I was on. It list everyone's name, payment address and split amount. Apps pull in that info and then send the lightning payments based off of what the podcaster or musician put in the feed. image
Nice. That’s def a lot more lightning addresses than I’ve been seeing, I’ve been mostly seeing “keysend”. So for something like the pic, is it the app’s responsibility to split a payment or is there an easy way to do it? I have a jukebox feature in mine and would like to incorporate splits.
That has that many because we are slowly moving from keysend to lnaddresses and thats one of the first PC 2.0 episodes to switch over but we've been using keysend for almost 5 years so it wont be quick since so much is built on top of it. The app pays the splits using whatever wallet they have added which is Alby currently or Fountain has its own. If you want stuff with lnaddresses you can use the WavLake API (i think) or Fountain's new hosted music has lnaddresses in it. I made this site to test out the Breez Spark SDK and it only has the new Fountain stuff if you want to see what is out there. I'm too new to the dev stuff to know how to get just fountain feeds from the podcastindex API so I just used a list of feeds someone gave me.
